Periplasmic nitrate reductase B (napB) from Paracoccus denitrificans DSM 413
This gene is part of the nap operon from P. denitrificans DSM 413. Nap is the first enzyme of the denitrification pathway, converting nitrate (NO3-) into nitrite (NO2-). NapB is a small cytochrome c protein, which can transfer electrons to NapA [1].
